Vacation disasters usually involve lost luggage or sunburn, not a pizza heist. One traveler says his first 24 hours in Belize took a bizarre turn after a trip to Secret Beach in San Pedro. According to the TikToker, he and his group left a box of pizza in their golf cart while they stepped away. Upon returning, they discovered it had not only been taken but deliberately discarded.

Now the strange beachside encounter is raising eyebrows online, with viewers debating whether it was a misunderstanding or the pettiest robbery imaginable.

What Happened at Secret Beach in Belize?

Expecting a relaxing getaway, Justin (@__justinthegym) has posted his first TikTok of Belize not out of joy, but devastation. His clip retelling the recent encounter has already gathered 30,000 views in less than a day. Just under 80 seconds, Justin lays it all out and allegedly knows the exact culprit.

The story starts with them traveling to Secret Beach by golf cart, which is not uncommon when in San Pedro. The drive itself is about an hour long, and while many restaurants are available on the beach, many visitors take snacks and drinks with them. This is exactly what Justin was doing. In their case, it was a to-go box of pizza.

As they arrive at Secret Beach, which Justin calls disappointing, they are allegedly greeted by an man outside his restaurant. As is common in many tourist areas, the man tries to persuade them to dine in his restaurant. Justin has no problem with this, citing that he knows and understands the “hustle.” However, he says they weren’t “feeling it.” They end up ignoring the man and leave.

“And I guess he took [offense] to that because we come back, not even gone for 10 minutes, and the food gone,” he says.

What Did They Do?

According to Justin, he believes the man took the pizza box and threw it away because he was mad they didn’t eat at his restaurant. Justin says this makes it worse.

“The more I think about it, the madder I get,” he says.

He also couldn’t do much about the situation, saying that the man had already gone too far for him to confront him. So in the end, they stayed pizza-less. Justin laments this, saying the pizza was good and he is really upset. As the clip ends, his wife chimes in and says, “It’s [expletive] up.”

In the caption, he adds, “I’m actually devastated.” The TikToker did not name the restaurant.

However, in an email to Deep Scroll, Justin made sure to clarify that the situation wasn’t that serious. It was just a pizza, after all.

“The situation [was] not really a major point of contention for us,” he said. “My verbiage made the situation seem more dire than originally intended. Our to-go box pizza was taken from us near Secret Beach. Nothing more, nothing less.”

Does this even count as a robbery?

The word “robbery” might be doing some heavy lifting after hearing the entire story, and many viewers call it out. One says, “Justin i was [expletive] worried for yalls safety when u said ‘robbed’ and u talking bout some damn pizza.” Justin replies, “I appreciate the concern but yeah we’re fine.”

Another says, “All I heard was we got robbed before I can finish the video I was gonna do a go fund me to get to you guys.”

One simply states, “When you said pizza, I laughed.”

Another viewer gives advice, saying, “Leave a bad review at his restaurant gang.” Justin responds, “Oh most def.”
